Chelsea fined 11,100 by UEFA following crowd trouble during Malmo trip
Chelsea have been fined 11,000 by UEFA following the behaviour of their fans during the Europa League trip to Malmo in February.Blues fans invaded the pitch and threw missiles during the last-32 clash in Sweden, which the Premier League club won 2-1.Their hosts have been fined 49,000 after the home crowd also lobbed objects and set off fireworks.Police were forced to move in and calm down the situation after Malmo fans appeared to launch plastic cups into the away end at the start of the game. Meanwhile, Eden Hazard was manhandled by a home supporter who demanded his shirt after the game.The 28-year-old was grabbed by the fan who only released his grip when given the yellow souvenir.Talking of the atmosphere at the Swedbank Stadion after the game, Maurizio Sarri said: “The atmosphere was like a little Naples. They are usually 50,000, it was wonderful.”
