I’m a Celebrity 2018: Harry Redknapp living the life of riley after being appointed assistant to jungle emperor Noel Edmonds
After his jam roly-poly setback, things are really looking up for Harry Redknapp onI’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.He is now living among the elite in camp after being selected as Noel Edmonds’ personal adviser – the TV legend arrived in camp late and now has the title of emperor.Harry is assistant emperor but will he end up king of the jungle?ITV1

But before receiving his promotion, Harry was in lightning form – once again telling a number of brilliant stories from his career in football, just when you think they can’t get any better.Harry recalled the times he would be watching the horse racing with former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson literally minutes before the two managers’ teams were due to play each other – pointing out Sir Alex didn’t need to worry about preparing his players as they were always strong favourites to win!And Harry also spoke of the time when Chris Kamara caught him and assistant Jim Smith out reading the Racing Post live on Sky Sports when they were supposed to be working on tactics for an upcoming game! However, Harry’s highlight was definitely being appointed Noel’s right-hand man. The former Deal or No Deal host cited the fact that Harry played for West Ham (who Noel supports) as the reason behind the decision.Working as an assistant is arguably new territory for Harry as he has spent many years as the No.1 but the ex-Tottenham and Hammers boss said in the Bush Telegraph he was confident he and Noel would work well as a pair to get the campmates to do as they were told.As the old footballclich goes, time will tell! The first signs are encouraging, however, with Edmonds and Harry having a lot of fun together when they were required to oversee the Dingo Dollar Challenge which actors Rita Simons and Malique Thompson-Dwyer participated in.Rita and Malique had to jump in some pretty cloudy looking and by all accounts smelly water to retrieve pieces that would complete a complex jigsaw puzzle. However, only Harry and Noel could see the front of the puzzle so they had to instruct the pair where to place the pieces.Noel was definitely getting it wrong deliberately to wind-up at points but it took ages for the emperor and his adviser to get their heads around the puzzle to the fury of Rita and Malique.Eventually the puzzle was completed and Harry and Noel won the prize of cheese and grapes after the campmates got the question right.Harry managed to refrain from trying to trade in the dollars to bring in former Tottenham, Portsmouth and QPR player Niko Kranjcar which some fans were initially worried about!Harry and Noel had some fun of their own as they headed back to camp, leading the celebrities to believe they answered the question incorrectly before brandishing the cheese and grapes. They had their campmates fooled for a few minutes and actress Emily Atack said Harry was the “best actor”. Perhaps he will have a new career path in the works when he leaves Australia…And to cap off a wonderful day for Harry, he and Noel had a slap up meal with Fleur East and Sair Khan. The evening’s entertainment also saw Harry attempt the floss dance – a jig that Spurs star Dele Alli has done on the football pitch.Harry’s flossing was a real sight to behold though. However, after the antics, we saw a different side to Harry once again when Fleur asked him how his relationship with wife Sandra has lasted so long.Harry told John Barrowman about how he met Sandra – who he’s been with for 54 years – but Harry opened up to Fleur, Sair and Noel about just how much he loved his wife.“I love her too much and it scares me,” he admitted.“If anything happened it would kill me.”Harry’s words certainly brought a tear to the eyes of these fans. So, a very busy day for Harry but tonight’s episode is set to bring more hilarity. The climax of last night’s episode saw Noel mention how Harry asked him for a massage on his leg in the middle of the night as Harry cramped up – we can’t wait to see how this incident played out!
