The family of missing Emiliano Sala will be in attendance for Cardiff Citys Premier League game at Arsenal, chairman Mehmet Dalmanhas told talkSPORT.The Bluebirds face the Gunners on Tuesday night in their first match since thedisappearance of their record signing last week.Sala and pilot David Ibbotson have been missing since last Monday when their plane vanished from radar near Guernsey.A three-day search of the English channel was called off on Thursday, but a privately-funded search has since begun following pleas from Salas sister and donations from all over the world, including from some of the biggest names in football.3

Cardiff plan to honour the Argentine striker by wearing daffodils on their shirts during the game, and chairman Dalmanhas revealed Salas family have also been invited.Speaking to talkSPORT host Jim White on Tuesday afternoon, the Cardiff chief said: My heart goes out to the family, who I hope to see tonight.I believe they will be there, I look forward to being able to see them personally myself.We still have hope but every day, every hour that goes past that hope begins to fade and somewhere along the line we have to face reality.But we still have hope and were still praying, so lets see what it brings.3

In an emotional press conference on Monday, Cardiff manager Neil Warnock described this past week as the hardest of my career by an absolute mile.The veteran boss also admitted he has considered retirement following the traumatic events, saying: “I think nearly 24 hours a day in the last week, that would be true to say.“Even as I sit here now, I think that would be [true]. There are more important things. It takes something like this to make you realise.”It had also been questioned whether Cardiff would look to postpone the game against Arsenal in light of Salas disappearance.But Dalman has insisted the club never considered not playing against the Gunners, and also said he and Warnock have not spokenthe possibility of him leaving the club.Its been a difficult week, he added.3

No one has had such an experience before, the manager has never seen anything like this. It really has touched the core of the club.As for tonight, I really dont know what to expect. Arsenal have been super and very helpful.It never crossed my mind not to play the game, and nor should it. At the end of the day the team are professional and they need to get on with it. Im hoping when the whistle goes the game starts, because thats what football players do and thats what Sala would have done and would want us to do.Clearly Neil is human and it has effected him, that is clear for everyone to see, but weve had no such discussions [about the possibility of him leaving].As I said to him the other day, we are not going to have that discussion. We need to get on with doing what we do, and this is play football matches.
